The Berlin Baroque Soloists are an excellent ensemble founded in 1995 by Rainer Kussmaul, Raimar Orlovsky and other members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as a specialised ensemble for music of the 16th and 17th centuries. Their last recording of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos received excellent reviews and was honoured with an OPUS KLASSIK as the best concerto recording. For their new recording for Sony Classical, they have teamed up with the excellent soloists of the Berliner Philharmoniker, principal violist Diyang Mei and violinist Noah Bendix-Balgley, first concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
